New cultivation techniques

Article

New cultivation techniques make cultivation easier. These techniques result in increased production and higher quality of the yield. Space can be used more efficiently and consequentially labor and production costs are reduced resulting in a higher revenue. For example, we test new light regimes, hydroponic systems and the benefits of cultivation in closed facilities or semi- open facilites.

Space can be used more efficiently and consequentially labor and production costs are reduced resulting in a higher revenue. For example, we test new light regimes, hydroponic systems and the benefits of cultivation in closed facilities or semi- open facilites.

Closed facilities, for example climate rooms, are fully protected from environmental influences. Fluctuations in temperature, relative humidity, yield loss, diseases etc. are therefore excluded from trails. These facilities enable maximum control of environmental factors compared to our greenhouses. Brightbox is an example of a closed vertical farming system. In Brightbox we research diverse crops, for example vegetables, herbs and ornamentals. These are produced sustainable, without carbon dioxide and without the use of chemical pesticides.
